Michal Nurik, Program Director
Michal has 15 years of experience in developing effective employment programs for the Ethiopian sector. Before joining JobKatif, Michal worked with the Ethiopian population as the Director of the Tevet Program for the Be’atzmi Association, and prior to that developed a prestigious jewelry craftsmanship program for Ethiopians at Yvel, a jewelry business which provides professional training and vocational rehabilitation.
Rav Yosef Zvi Rimon, Chairman & Founder
Rav Rimon founded JobKatif shortly after the disengagement from Gush Katif. His goal: to help the Gush Katif evacuees re-integrate into the work force. On the day following the disengagement fully 85% were unemployed. Today, having realized its mission, 85% are now employed. In 2008, Rav Rimon was awarded the President’s Prize for Volunteerism by President Shimon Peres, and in 2014 the Moskowitz Prize for Zionism.
Judy Lowy, Executive Director
Judy has 30 years of management experience in employment services, including 15 years overseeing an employment project for new immigrants through the Israeli Ministry of Immigration.
Arielle Sullum, Development Associate
Arielle Sullum works in PR and resource development for JobKatif. She has eight years of experience in PR and has worked at the Knowledge Center of Innovation at the Technion and at the Jewish Agency. She holds an MSc. in Organizational Psychology from the Technion and has research experience in the field of gender and women empowerment. In addition, Arielle has several years of experience in working with Ethiopian students at the Neveh Shannan Absorption Center in Haifa.
